Wow, I spent nearly three hours in Louis Vuitton today. I didn’t end up buying anything, but I made some long-lasting friendships. When I visited the pop-up in SoHo celebrating the collaboration between Pharrell and Nigo, I met the sweetest of client assistants. I didn’t obtain her number during the original interaction, but I made sure to go back and ask for her contact.

Well, she contacted me. We texted for a while before I admitted I had been eyeing this one bag. She told me she was willing to show it to me early and that it was on pre-order. Emma Stone has always been a favorite of mine, and her recent campaign with LV is absolutely stunning.

I walked to the LV store as soon as they opened at noon and tried on the now revived bag. Put simply, the bag is beautiful. I don’t have a photo of me with it on, but I want to write about how I love the structure of the bag. It’s spacious, charming, and everything more. My client helper and I talked about the different options for this collection and how the bigger version looked best on me. That has always been the case—bigger bags work ten times better than smaller bags with my size and style.

I checked out a few more pieces, specifically a raincoat. This piece took a little bit longer to reject. The coat is very visually appealing, but I couldn’t get behind how badly the color flushed me out. When I wear it, I look like a ghost. The only thing you can see is my inflamed zits, and that’s not the look I am going for.

Despite not buying anything today, I am glad I not only found someone willing to work with me, but I am also excited to see where these friendships go. After our sales session, my client assistants and I chatted about the fusion between Western and Eastern fashion in various brands across the country. Many of the pieces that LV is currently selling are inspired by various creators. The big leather LV coat features Japanese characters. These little details invite me in for more as I share my interests in expanding my knowledge of the brand and the Eastern Hemisphere.
