I am spending the last few hours of 2025 going over my 2026 closet wishlist. On it are bags that I have already purchased, clothing that continues to impress me, and pieces that I am eager to obtain.
The Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami Lineup
I worked my tail off to get this bag before it flew off the shelf. Sadly, I spent most of 2025 at the bottom of the Louis Vuitton client barrel. I encountered glares at every attempt to enter the store off of 5th Avenue. This summer, however, I was able to break through and talk to a client advisor. When I visited the SoHo location, I felt a shift in my luck. The vibes in that store are less pushy. I have about five people that help everytime I walk in. More champagne, please!
The JW Anderson Leaf Sandals
Gosh, I love these shoes. For me, they are simple perfection. I like the design and how subtle they could be walking down the streets of New York. I know that stomping through the city in sandals is sometimes a difficult task, but with the sandals, I am up for the challenge. Last pair of sandals I wore was from a brand called Jaded London, and when I wore them, I thought my foot was going to explode. These sandals will bring positive vibes.
Anything by Vaquera
My former Dover Street Market client advisor introduced me to the Vaquera brand. If I remember correctly, I have only owned one Vaquera piece. That shirt plagued both my life and my wardrobe. It was adorable but couldn’t handle the elements that come with living in New York. Snow? Had to cover up. Rain? Better have my umbrella. Sneezed? Better hope it didn’t land on the shirt.
In 2026 I am giving the brand another chance. I believe this hoodie is the perfect way to rekindle my relationship with the brand, Vaquera. Hopefully Marilyn doesn’t mind everything that the city has to offer.
I only put three pieces on this list because, well, I don’t have a lot of room left in my wardrobe! My shack of an apartment is getting to the point where I have to start donating pieces. All of the pieces listed are chosen because they best align with the energy I am trying to utilize more of in 2026. These pieces are fun, playful, and most importantly, they are filled with love.
